about reroute

In New York, the establishment political class has seized power for itself, leaving the rest of us behind in the dust. Slimy career politicians like Andrew Cuomo and Eric Adams enrich themselves while the people they claim to serve struggle to get by. The system isn’t broken—it’s rigged to serve them and shut the rest of us out.

We are here to change that. Our team is building a movement to reroute power from the establishment and return it to the People.

Our priorities:

  • Dismantle the systems that keep establishment, corporate, and oligarchic politicians in power

  • Make life affordable for working-class New Yorkers

  • Repair and reinvest in public services

  • Protect the most vulnerable New Yorkers from violence, disenfranchisement, and systemic abuse

  •  Keep the disastrous and dangerous federal government out of our streets and city

Reroute is hitting the ground running in New York City’s 2025 local elections by endorsing people-first candidates and doing the work to make sure they win in November. Join us as we make calls, send texts, and more in support of candidates who will reroute power to the People.

  • Political parties in New York have become cesspools of corruption. Patronage, nepotism, and pay-to-play politics protect party elites while shutting down real change for New Yorkers. Year after year, insiders rig the system to decide who gets on the ballot, who gets party resources, and whose voices get silenced. This machine politics keeps fresh voices and working-class leaders from ever having a real shot.

Reroute Power exists to break that grip, putting power back where it belongs: with ordinary New Yorkers, not establishment politicians and their corporate backers.

  • Every day we see new attacks levied against New Yorkers of all kinds from people inside the City and out. New Yorkers of every background—Black, Hispanic, trans, Palestinian, undocumented, Jewish, homeless, and more—deserve to be safe and recognized as the valuable community members that they are. At Reroute, our top priority is making sure that NYC is a diverse haven for people of all walks of life; a place where a good, stable, and safe life can be had by anyone.

  • Establishment politicians like Andrew Cuomo and Eric Adams starve New York’s public services, then act surprised when schools crumble, trains stall, and hospitals overflow. Our elected leaders talk about equity, but year after year, they side with the corporations backing their campaigns instead of supporting the services our communities depend on. Political elites preach “equality of opportunity” while refusing to invest in the essentials New Yorkers need to survive. We see through their lies.

Reroute Power is fighting to flip those priorities—demanding investment in transit, education, health care, and housing so every New Yorker has the foundation for a dignified life.

  • New York City, and America at large, is a place enriched and built by migrants. To pretend otherwise is not only harmful, but outright untrue. Eric Adams had let ICE and the DHS run amok in our streets, terrorizing migrants, citizens, and any person the federal government deems “other.” At Reroute, we fervently defend our neighbors, regardless of their citizenship status or lack thereof.

  • Since retaking office, Donald Trump has weaponized the power of the presidency to enact violence against Americans. Plainclothes ICE officers are snatching people off the streets. Federalized National Guard troops have occupied cities like Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. At Trump’s direction, Congress is stripping Americans of health care, public education, and hard-fought civil liberties and rights.

Instead of fighting back against Trump, Andrew Cuomo (a certified loser, in more ways than one) is asking for his help with his failing independent campaign. Eric Adams is letting Trump’s agents terrorize New Yorkers in exchange for having his federal criminal charges thrown out. While they side with Trump, our city needs new leadership that will stand with New Yorkers.
